2020.09.18 17:34 XMG_gg PSA: Performance Impact from Asymmetric Dual Channel Configuration (AMD Edition)

Hi Reddit,
it's probably common wisdom: if you add memory to your system, make sure to use two identical modules to avoid any performance or stability issues.
But sometimes if you have memory lying around from other systems, it's tempting to just bunch them together. Asymmetric operation of Dual Channel memory is a real feature that warrants some hard testing. Here we go!

What is Asymmetric Dual Channel?

It's when both RAM modules are not identical - especially if they have different capacity. Ideally, a config such as 16GB + 32GB should give you 32GB of Dual Channel memory with 16GB of Single Channel on top.
In Intel, support for Asymmetric Dual Channel is known as 'Flex Mode'. AMD does not seem to have a marketing claim for this. But some AMD mainboard vendors claim to support it as well. (Example, see PDF page 17)
The normal wisdom for Asymmetric Dual Channel is to put the smaller module (in my case 16GB) in the first slot. Under this assumption, a config like 16GB+32GB should be 'just fine'.

Test System and Configurations

My test system:
My RAM modules:
Please note:
The system monitoring tool CPU-Z clearly confirms 'Dual Channel' for all 3 configs. Here are some screenshots from the 'worst case' Config 3 on my system:

Benchmarks: Symmetric vs. Asymmetric Dual Channel

After each config change, I did a BIOS Reset and cycled through the performance profiles, landing on 'Overboost' again. With this, I ran a number of benchmarks in a row on each config.
I ran each benchmark only once, so their might be some 1~2% run-to-run variation. This is within the margin of error. I made sure to keep the environment stable.
For gaming, I used the Shadow of the Tomb Raider Demo (Steam version) with the built-in benchmark. Settings are: DirectX 12, 1920x1080; Preset 'Highest'.
Here are the results in raw numbers:

Observations

Not every benchmark will see a performance impact on asymmetric dual channel. The raw rendering benchmark Cinebench is not affected at all, but the more diverse Geekbench shows a clear impact.
PCMark10 seems to be fine with Config 2 (16+32) but shows a clear impact in the least ideal Config 3 (32+16). The biggest impact is in the 'Spreadsheets' test which uses a lot of OpenCL (AFAIK).
Unigine Superposition is a very synthetic GPU benchmark that loads the GPU up to 100% while doing relatively little CPU to GPU communication. There are no scenes changes or dynamic elements. It's all just a bunch light/shadow rendering, most if this done within the CPU.
It's surprising that Unigine Superposition shows no performance impact on the asymmetric Dual Channel configurations. This gives reason to believe that the bottleneck is not within the NVIDIA Optimus Copy Engine, where the system memory (as much as I understand this rather old technology) is used as a buffer between dGPU rendering and iGPU display output.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a gaming benchmark that is known to scale quite well with Memory Speed and Latency. It shows a very clear impact with a performance reduction down to 82% or even only 75% in the asymmetrical configs. The detailed results indicate that the bottleneck in longer frametimes is clearly happening on the CPU side which obviously involves the memory configuration.
Please keep in mind that these results are not final and are only done on a single system with only two different RAM modules. Also, my understanding about how Dual Channel works in detail is limited - so while my observations might be correct, my conclusions should currently be understood as hypothesis.

Next steps

We have informed AMD about these results and asked for comments.
I might repeat this test next week with an asymmetric configuration where both memory modules use identical timings, preferably from the same vendor. I might also repeat this test later on an Intel system.
We will keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
Until then: make sure you build your Gaming Laptop with symmetrical Dual Channel configurations. AMD CPU systems heavily benefit from balanced Dual Channel configurations. If you buy your XMG or SCHENKER laptop with only one single module on bestware, then please add a second module with the same part number.
Thanks to u/TheRandomGuy-1337 in this thread for initially pointing out this issue.
If you have any comments or questions, please let us know!

2020.09.18 16:54 thisisathrowaway3757 8 days in, my PIED is already seeing improvement

Like many people on this sub, I discovered the unspeakable content around age 13 and it became a daily thing, often more than once a day. Over the last few years, I started getting smaller and softer erections until the point I could barely get a boner. I'm now 17 (turning 18 in a few weeks). I had no idea what was going on or how to fix it. Then I found this sub, PIED, and the many stories of people who overcame it. I'm 8 days in, and I got morning wood for the first time in years when I woke up this morning. It wasn't a full boner, but by far the best I've had in months. I sat up and nearly started crying. This stuff works.
My goal is 30 days of hard mode and an additional 70 of regular, for a total of a 100 days then to infinity. No more porn. It nearly destroyed my arousal abilities and many other side effects not worth mentioning here. Thank you for reading!

2020.09.18 16:39 Bachmanetti PVE Breakdown of nearly every Damage Resistance Mod, Exotic, and Ability

While I was running Prophecy I wondered: "What was the actual resistance provided by stacking mods?"
I went down a Rabbit hole for 2 weeks and this is what I came back with:

Damage Resistance Guide Cheat Sheet

I highly recommend using the above if you need a quick version of how Damage Resist works. For more details, continue reading or check out the spreadsheet

Spreadsheet with full details, charts, and breakdowns of Mods, Exotics, and Abilities

This only pertains to PVE, as modifiers in PVP are generally different.
Resist Mod Stacking Chart

Resilience

Resilience is unfortunately not very useful in PVE aside from providing increased Barrier regen time for Titans. Each Tier of Resilience is effectively a 1-2% increase in overall shield, which ends up only being about a 0.5% increase in your overall resistance to damage.

Concussive Dampener

At 15% resistance, and stacking up to a staggering 55.6%, it significantly outperforms other stackable mods. Most hard-hitting damage sources count as Area of Effect (AOE) damage and are reduced by this mod.
x1 x2 x3 x4 x5
15.00% 27.75% 38.59% 47.80% 55.63%

Arc, Solar, and Void Resist

Unfortunately, elemental resists only provide a 5% resistance and stacks in a standard fashion
x1 x2 x3 x4 x5
5.00% 9.75% 14.26% 18.55% 22.62%

Minor, Major, and Boss Resist

Minor, Major, and Boss Resist mods provide a stacking 10% resistance. However, this decreases in effectiveness faster than other mods. I would not recommend stacking more than 3 mods as this increase drops below even elemental resist.
x1 x2 x3 x4 x5
10.00% 17.86% 23.58% 27.16% 30.00%
Important note: For the purposes of Damage Resistance only, elite enemies with a Triangle Icon, including Champions, are actually considered Boss enemies. Use Boss Resist to decrease damage from them.
For Weapon Damage mods, you would use Major Spec to increase damage to Champions and other Elite enemies.
Minor Enemy Major Enemy Elite Enemy (Champions) Boss Enemy
ColoIcon Red / Square Orange / Shield Yellow / Triangle Bright Yellow / Diamond
Resist Mod Minor Resist Major Resist Boss Resist Boss Resist
Weapon Spec Minor Spec Major Spec Major Spec & Vorpal Boss Spec & Vorpal

Fallen, Hive, and Taken Barrier

Enemy Barrier mods provide a 20% damage resistance AFTER having received damage from those sources. It does not stack with itself. However, Taken Barrier will stack with Hive or Fallen barrier for 36% resistance to those enemies.

Light Levels effect on Damage Resistance and Damage Dealt

This chart provides a brief overview of how Damage resistance works with your power level compared to the Activity power level
Essentially, as you approach the Power level of the activity; received damage drops substantially. After you reach the activity power level; received damage continues to decline slowly. This drop-off does not seem to have a cap.
Contest mode activities such as Grand Master Nightfalls, are not affected by this.
Regarding Damage dealt, there are more details in the spreadsheet. It would seem that there are two curves that are combined to effect weapon damage. The first curve applies to your overall light level and stops increasing at the recommended power level. The second curve continues to increase until the weapon itself is at the recommended power level +20.
The takeaway from this is that you should infuse your weapons as high as possible up to the power level cap of the activity minus your artifact level.

A bit of Math - How Damage Resistance combines

In almost all cases, the way Damage resistance combines is the same. The Resistances are each applied to the incoming damage, reducing it sequentially.
If you want to determine your percentage of incoming Damage from a source, you can calculate it as follows:
ReceivedDamage = (1-Resist_1) * (1-Resist_2) * (1-Resist_3) * (.......)
For example: If you are attacked by a Taken Echo Knight and you have Taken Barrier 20%, Hive Barrier 20%, and 2x Concussive Dampener 27.75%:
(1-20%) * (1-20%) * (1-27.75%) = 46.24% incoming Damage, or effectively 53.76% total resistance.

Sword Blocking

Sword blocking is highly dependent on both the frame of the sword, and the sword guard chosen.
These are the stats of sword blocking with Temptation's Hook with different Guard perks.
Enduring Swordmaster's Balanced Heavy Burst
50% ~11 sec 56% ~4 sec 65.5% ~4 sec 74% ~5 sec 80% ~2.5 sec
Expect different results with different swords

Super Resistance

Most Supers have about a 80% resistance. This is while they are active in the case of roaming supers, and while being cast in the case of supers like Nova Bomb and Blade Barrage.
Environmental Damage is handled a little differently, and you only have about a 50% resistance to damage in those same supers
Neither Golden Gun super seems to have any Damage Resistance provided.

Exotics

For each exotic that offers a damage resistance or "reduces incoming damage" perk, the following information applies:
Exotic Resistance Notes
Riskrunner 50% Applies only to Arc Damage
Ruinous Effigy 80% Resistance while blocking with an orb
Wings of Sacred Dawn 15% Damage resistance seems to apply during and shortly after ADS
Contraverse Hold 20% While holding a Void grenade
ACD/0 Feedback Fence 33%, 55%, 70% Damage Resist is for a single melee and stacks with charge to x3.
Skull of Dire Ahamkara ~80% to 96% Up to 75% resistance on top of normal super, but only for a brief moment.
Stronghold (Sword Block) 80% to 90% Increases Sword stats to max, resistance is still dependent on the sword frame.

Exceptions and Special Cases

Most other cases, exotics, and other resistance attributes are in the Google sheet
The few exceptions to how damage resistance combines:

A note on Overshields

Overshields were not tested thoroughly as there are some difficulties with testing them and inconsistencies when being applied. For Example, the overshield from Saint-14's helm with Bubble is a different amount then the overshield from the defensive strike melee ability. Couple this with overshield abilities that recharge separately from your shield bar and health, and the elemental aspect of some Overshields makes them difficult to gauge and measure.

Testing Methodology

To begin, most tests were performed using a "base" damage from a consistent source where possible. These were performed at 1083 light (1060 base , +23 Artifact) with Tier 0 resilience armor.
List of some test locations and enemies:
Almost all tests were run with at least 2 sources of damage, and over multiple damage cycles. These were recorded at 2160x1440p 60fps (with some exceptions of verification tests by ABagOfPowder) and then transcribed using Tracker Video Analysis and Modeling Tool. Measurements for most tests were only taken from damage to the "Shield" portion of the Damage bar, as the "Health" portion is smaller and slightly more inconsistent.
This data was then transferred to Excel where it was translated into individual tests and percentages were calculated from the pixel measurement differences. Where appropriate, this was used to calculate resistances or combined resistance information.
You can find most of the data used in this Google Drive

ErRors, Margin of Error, and Rounding

Due to the way the Health bar is handled, there is definitely some rounding involved in the rendering. At 2160x1440 resolution, the shield portion of the health bar is 404 pixels wide, meaning a change in damage of 1% over the length of the bar SHOULD be measurable as a 4 pixel difference. In reality there seems to be some additional rounding, or integer math being done in damage calculations, leading to smaller damage sources actually being rounded up.
For Example, Minor resist often measures 9.75% on Thrall melee, but closer to 10% on Hobgoblin snipers. This, coupled with other measurement issues, may mean that some tests are within 1-2% of the actual in game values.
Some Damage Resistance, such as Warlock Nova Bomb, Titan Thundercrash, and Hunter Blade Barrage occur over such a brief period in time that resistance was difficult to test. Environmental damage was often used in these cases, however there is an environmental modifier applied while in super. This value was then used to determine what the "Base" damage resistance was for some of these supers.
I may post more charts, and relevant clips both in the comments below, and on twitter.

Thank You!

Overall testing consisted of around 405 individual tests, processing about 23 gb of data, over one and a half hours of health bar footage, hundreds of screenshots, and lots of community sourcing for damage types, enemies, mods, and situations.
Special thanks goes out to the people on the RaidSecrets discord, u/ABagOfPowder, u/Pirogoeth_, and Dzho for suggestions, testing, and measuring bars.
Thank you @nev_rtheless for helping to copy edit and sanity check me.
DIM for their help with sword stats & troubleshooting, and an awesome tool to help identify exactly which armor I needed for every test.
And thank you clan WIPE...? for putting up with my testing. I'm sure they never want to hear this again: "Hey, who wants to sit in a Nightmare hunt or strike for an hour while I take damage and record clips?"

2020.09.18 16:35 Barred96 Summit future game modes?

So on the 22th the Summit is comming as it is, but the devs could update it in Tu 11.1 with small things or Tu 12. with big changes. Here are some ideas for both.
Tu 11.1: Loot and difficulty changes, 1 targeted loot is only good if a player specificly wants that kind of brand or weapon and if not for that day the game mode is dead for the player to adress this add 4 different targeted loot options 1 weapon 2 brand set 1 gearset/gear mods/skill mods, it might be so much at once but a targeted item can come from any option and it might be SMG the 14th that day but you still have a high chance for the others well better then in the open world.
As for difficulty allow us to set everything upwards normal/hard/challangeing to heroic but not down keep the legendary lvls legendary, but i would be happy if i dont have to go back every 10 lvl to 51 so i can farm heroic gear on repeat let me just turn off my mind run 70 lvls of heroic without that much attention to where i am currently, and get rid of forced directives from normal-heroic leave it there as an option.
Tu 12. : Survival arena mode, put together a super floor with different covers high and low ground, 4-5 set spawns and make it round based where progressivly stronger opponenets show up from different factions (re use world bosses or bountys for boss spawns) and every few waves there is a boss spawn if you defeat it the difficulty increases more mobs or straight up boss waves one after an other. Let us choose before we enter the difficulty normal-heroic and it will be on that diff until we lose or win. It would not be like the Summit that you can resume progression from wave 31 you start from 1 every attempt but the game would not forget where you died it would save your best time and set you on a timer the second time +1 minute to defeat a wave before the next one arrives. You can make it endless or have a final boss (what would you guys like leave a comment).
Story based game events for the Summit, there are a few leftover storys Mayhem or you can just cook up new ones. Use the last 10 legendary floors of the Summit set it with the given story faction and make up a story that makes sense why we are heading up there not just "well she has loot".
  1. Hyena based story: Mayhem and her gang found EMP jammers and overloaded them and planning to use them against the SHD they set up base on the Summit and from that high they can knock out SHD tech in a 200km raduis, you have the stop them.
  2. The remaining Outcasts plan to go out with a bang they unearthed Saturns Eclipse rockets in New York and dragged it to the top of the Summit they plan to release it in the air to kill everyone who survived to this point in that city, you have to save our allies in Haven and every civillian still in the city.
  3. The Rikers attacked Haven and kidnapped Paul Rhodes you have to get in and rescue him a helicopter will be on standby and will extract him from the top.

What do you think about this? Do you have any idea for the Summit share it.

2020.09.18 16:34 HandleEnvironmental3 THE USSR WAS SOCIALIST??

A socialist economy has no interest whatsoever in production or production's sake, the «over fulfilment» of plans, and economic competition with rivals (what rivals?). In place of running after objectives of an historically past epoch, the socialist mode of production will seek not only to produce for the needs of the species, but also to permit the species to develop in a way never before possible, the easing of society's productive effort, the elimination of the evil inheritances of capitalism - notably the division of labour - which have imprisoned human labour in a slave camp in the service of class society. In other words, socialism is not «constructed» by means of Stakhanovist slogans and frantic accumulation. On the contrary it is born from the final and complete destruction, at the hands of the proletarian dictatorship, of the social relations and economic laws of capitalism, along with the destruction of their material base - the capitalist relations of production.
Socialism is characterised then by the disappearance of the kingpin of the market and capitalist structure, the category with which Marx commenced his exposition of the theory of the capitalist mode of production, that is to say value, which is synonymous with the private appropriation of the product of the production process:
«From the moment when society enters into possession of the means of production and uses them in direct association for production, the labour of each individual, however varied its specifically useful character may be, becomes at the start and directly social labour. The quantity of social labour contained in a product need not then be established in a roundabout way; daily experience shows in a direct way how much of it is required on the average. Society can simply calculate how many hours of labour are contained in a steam engine, a bushel of wheat of the last harvest, or a hundred square yards of cloth of a certain quality. It could therefore never occur to it still to express the quantities of labour put into the products which it will then known directly and in their absolute amounts, in a third product, in a measure which, besides, is only relative, fluctuating, inadequate, though formerly unavoidable for lack of a better, rather than express them in their natural, adequate and absolute measure, time. Just as little would it occur to chemical science still to express atomic weights in a roundabout way, relatively, by means of the hydrogen atom, if it were able to express them absolutely, in their adequate measure, namely in actual weights, in billionths or quadrillionths of a gramme. Hence, on the assumptions we made above, society will not assign values to products».
Socialism therefore has no use for the market categories which reign as master over the Russian economy. It does not know value since there are no private products and thus no exchange between private producers, implying that the producers have no need to know the relative values of their products. It thus knows neither the market nor commodities, and still less the particular commodity money. It knows neither selling nor buying and thus neither the selling nor buying of the commodity labour power or wage-labour which, for the Marxist, is abolished during the first phase of communist society, or socialism. In this phase, to use Marx's expression, we are dealing with «communist society just as it emerges from capitalist society» and where the individual producer «receives a certificate from society that he has furnished such and such an amount of labour (after deducting his labour for the common funds), and with this certificate he draws from the social stock of means of consumption as much as the same amount of labour costs. The same amount of labour which he has given to society in one form he receives back in another».
The fact that the Russian economy exhibits all of the commodity and capitalist categories, the fact that the Russian workers are subject to the slavery of wages, suffices to define it as capitalist. We have illustrated fully in the work of our Party that the Russian economy has never ceased to be capitalist and that this fact was openly recognised by Lenin (which, of course, did not prevent the October Revolution and the power which was born from it from having been authentically communist). To mask its real nature, the Stalinist counterrevolution created the nonsensical theory that socialism is compatible with commodity categories, that it is characterised by the same categories as capitalism but with a different content. As if categories were not characterised precisely by their content! As if this content was not so inevitably that of the capitalist categories that the same concepts are essential to describe it! This type of argument has, moreover, already been utilised by the ineffable Herr Dühring to whom Engels had sharply retorted:
«To seek to abolish the capitalist form of production by establishing «true value» is therefore tantamount to attempting to abolish catholicism by establishing the «true» Pope, or to set up a society in which at last the producers control their products, by consistently carrying into life an economic category which is the most comprehensive expression of the enslavement of the producers by their own product». Stalinism has done much worse: it has instituted a «socialist» value, which signifies not only the enslavement of the producer, but also the abolition of Marxism. It follows from what has been said that the plan of a socialist society does not preoccupy itself with value, still less with money or the profitability on invested funds - as does the Russian plan. It is concerned only with use-values, that is to say the utility of the product and the time necessary for its manufacture:
«It is true that even then it will still be necessary for society to know how much labour each article of consumption requires for its production. It will have to arrange its plan of production in accordance with its means of production, which include, in particular, its labour-power. The useful effects of the various articles of consumption, compared with one another and with the quantities of labour required for their production, will in the end determine the plan. People will be able to manage everything very simply, without the intervention of much-vaunted «value»» (5).
Consequently, socialism is incompatible not only with the existence of money, but also with that brutal capitalist invention, the rate of growth which embraces in a common figure (in Russia as in the West) the necessities of life and the instruments of death, useful means of consumption and luxuries of the most idiotic type. Even if not expressed directly in money terms, the rate of growth in effect presupposes value and money, since the only way to compare the total production of two different years which comprise thousands of different objects from biscuits to machine-tools is to compare their values and these can only be expressed in money. Without value, which is the only universal standard of measure of different use-values, without money, which is the only universal standard of measure of value, no comparison is possible and so no rate of growth of production can exist. The only thing that socialist society will be able to measure as a function of total production will be the amount of labour time furnished by the species in order to produce its means of existence - but it is the diminution of this quantity, the easing of the species' productive effort, which we shall perhaps amuse ourselves by measuring from one year to the next, since otherwise socialism makes no sense at all. What sense, what interest can there be for a socialist society to measure a rate of growth of total production? As Engels explained, its production is guided only by the utility of the various objects and the amount of labour necessary for their production. The only rate of growth which could be measured would be that of the actual physical production of each use-value taken separately. But there again, what would be the point in measuring this? If the needs of humanity for bicycles are estimated at 50 millions in one year, and 54 millions the next, the plan must organise this extra production. But what sense would there be in glorifying the rate of growth of 8 % in bicycle production? What sense would there be in trying to overstep this rate if this does not correspond to the needs of the species? And what would be the sense of always wanting to produce more bicycles since there will be no profit to be made, no market to capture from rivals who no longer exist, no surplus-value to fight over with other capitalists? If it is estimated that the needs of humanity for individual transport require that automobile production be decreased, the plan must organise this also, and there will be no sense in lamenting the resulting negative rate of growth. There will be no point in attempting to prevent it by artificially stimulating new needs in order to avoid financial losses and bankruptcies (which will no longer exist) of the autonomous enterprises (which will have disappeared).
The rate of growth is merely one of the idols of the religion of production for production's sake which characterises capitalism, and only capitalism, just as do those idols of the commodity and money, and all that derive from them. The plan of a socialist society knows neither commodities, money, nor rates of growth.
And the Russian plan, published by Pravda, summarises the «principal indicators» of the 10th five-year plan (1976-80) announced by Kosygin at the 25th Congress of the C.P.S.U. To which Gods do these indicators refer? None other than the Gods Value, the Rouble, and Augmentation of Value - the very idols venerated by all capitalist states throughout the world. The Russian «plan» is figured in terms of commodities, money, and rates of growth. We need go no further to conclude that it is capitalist from A to Z: there is not an ounce of socialism in it.
After this necessary reminder, we now move on to the myth of planning. The anarchy and bankruptcy of Russian agriculture is known to all, and it is pointless to waste time showing that there is not the least amount of planning of agricultural production. Production in this sector is left entirely to the laws of the market in which the state is sometimes forced to intervene haphazardly. This is also done in all Western capitalist countries through fixing the prices of the principal products, providing subsidies, stockpiling commodities, controlling credit, etc. We shall concentrate therefore on the sphere of industrial production. The 10th five-year plan (1976-80), recently adopted at the 25th Congress of the C.P.S.U., forecasts for 1980 that industrial production will stand at 720 billions of roubles - a growth of 37 % in comparison with 1975. As with the French plan for example, the Russian plan forecasts the level of production of the principal products compared with 1975, the essentials of which have been summarised in.
Certainly it is the existence of these «targets», so complacently commented upon in speeches and in the official press, which provides much of the basis for the myth of planning. But in reality these targets do not «plan» anything because they are as a general rule only projections of tendencies already present in the economy. The self-styled planner has no control over the dynamics of production: far from being master of the economic machine, he can only follow it as best he can by trying to predict where it will take him. He fixes not production, but the index - an extrapolation of past trends. This is shown by the 8th, 9th and 10th five-year plans for the production of the principal products - summarised in. The columns indicate for each product the rates of growth predicted and those subsequently achieved.
Let us examine the table line by line. For most of the products we have a series of decreasing figures. For example, for steel the 8th plan «fixed» a growth objective of 39 % for the ensuing 5 years. This was not attained, 27 % being actually realised. The following plan prudently fixed a new objective lower than that previously achieved - 26 %. This was not achieved either and the 10th plan has fixed a still lower rate, lower, in fact, than that actually achieved in the course of the 9th plan. This is the case for steel, electricity, tractors, and (with a minor difference) cement. In the case of oil and fertiliser the plan happens to have been realised, but the tendency is the same: in the vast majority of cases the plan «plans» nothing at all. It can only register and project the slackening rate of growth of industrial production. In the cases of gas, automobiles, and coal, while the slackening rate of growth is obvious on the whole, the series of figures is more capricious and might seem to reflect the influence of the state. But which products are these? Coal, a commodity whose production has seen a renewed effort because world prices have soared, which means that coal exports can earn hard currency, while its extraction does not require new methods of technology (unlike oil); gas, where contracts for large deliveries have been signed with the US and West Germany; and automobiles, whose factories have been imported and entirely installed by Western capitalisms. To sum up then, the Russian economy is «planned» by nothing other than the world market!
Furthermore, if the Russian plan can, in the vast majority of cases, only reflect and project tendencies already inherent in the dynamics of production, the forecasting of these tendencies cannot be much better than in the West. This is indeed the case as the reader can easily see by merely examining the last five plans which are summarised in. Of the series of five objectives successively fixed for the nine basic products shown, the planned target has been realised only eight times (to within 1 %). Nine times it has been surpassed - but surpassing the target implies frantic accumulation, Stakhanovism, more intense exploitation of the working class, quite the contrary of socialism. Finally, the plan's targets have not been reached on twenty-seven occasions with shortfalls of up to 36 % (514,000 automobiles less than the «plan» predicted!). In addition the figures refer only to the key products: one can imagine the state of affairs in other branches of production where the combination of bottlenecks can only increase the disorganisation and the shortfalls. This proves that far from being planned the Russian economy flounders in the midst of the anarchy of the market.
Close examination of the official figures also reveals that in order to conceal this anarchy, statisticians do not hesitate to manipulate the indices just as their Western counterparts do. The recent most flagrant case is that of the 8th five-year plan (1966-70). The least one can say about the results of this plan, the essentials of which are summarised in, is that they are lamentable: a shortfall of 10.5 million metric tons of steel, 4.6 million tons of coal, 35 billions of cubic metres of gas, 99 billions of Kwh of electricity, 9 million tons of fertiliser, 154,000 tractors, 514,000 transport vehicles, 7 million tons of cement. But no matter; by the «miracles of a made in Moscow» socialism, Russian leaders were able to announce, in the midst of these considerable shortcomings, that the same period had seen a growth in industrial production which had exceeded the plan. A 50 % growth over the five years had occurred in place of the 48.5 % which had been predicted (6). This trick leaves us breathless, but it is only a continuation of those of the Stalinist period. The fact that with much smaller physical shortfalls (thanks to more modest objectives) the 9th plan (1971-75) saw a slight shortfall in the overall rate of industrial growth (43 % as against the predicted 44 %) (7) is an implicit acknowledgement that the books were cooked. It is much easier to plan those indices than to plan capitalist anarchy.
Passing on from five-year plans to the ten and twenty year projections we see that the idiocy of the Russian claims to planning appears even more glaringly. By 1965 it was apparent that the targets fixed for 1970 would not be achieved, and the 8th five-year plan «reset the sights» to a more sensible level (see table 5) - which did not prevent the occurrence of the most glaring inaccuracies. On the whole, actual production in 1970 varied between 10 % and 68 % below the targets set by Khrushchev, and more than half of the objectives which were to be realised by 1970 were not even attained five years later in 1975. Compared with the targets set for 1980, production lags still further behind. With practically only one exception the objectives of the 10th five-year plan are lower than those set by Khrushchev by amounts ranging from 10 % to 71 % (thus the production of electricity in 1980 will not be even half of that predicted by Khrushchev) - Oh the miracles of Russian market planning!

2020.09.18 16:30 Bachmanetti PVE Breakdown of nearly every Damage Resistance Mod, Exotic, and Ability

ReceivedDamage = (1-Resist_1) * (1-Resist_2) * (1-Resist_3) * (.......)

I may post more charts, and relevant clips both in the comments below, and on twitter.

2020.09.18 15:18 Kellston PS4 vs. Remote Play - CPU strain difference?

Hi,
I’ve been streaming from my PS4 using remote play, and generally speaking it’s been fine. On odd occasions though there are little frame skips, maybe once every hour. Some streams there won’t be a single problem at all, ever! Still, it’s quite frustrating and I’d like to resolve it.
When the frames do skip, I notice that my CPU usage is moving to around 70%, whereas usually without intense gameplay it will sit at 30ish. I’m streaming in 1080p at 60fps, and definitely do not want to lower that.
If I invest in a capture card, will this fix any of these problems? My CPU is not amazing, I have an i5 processor, but it seems capable of keeping up with most of what I need it to do. I guess what I’m asking is, is there significant strain placed on the CPU by using remote play that would be less if using a capture card? Would a capture card make the CPU run any smoother?
I don’t fully understand why when gameplay is hectic it can produce a spike in CPU usage - maybe this is just because remote play is actually trying to ‘play’ the game too? I dunno.
General stuff, like performance mode, strong internet, bitrates, etc. I’m fine with, just need advice on this bit if anyone can help :)

2020.09.18 13:52 nextzero182 I watch a horror movie every day, here's everything I watched in August

(2019) The Lighthouse 9.5/10
The visuals are jaw-dropping; almost every single frame of this film is photographic. The soundtrack is stripped down to just these haunting sounds of fog horns and piss buckets. The package everything is delivered in, from an artistic standpoint, is so memorable. The performances by Pattinson and Dafoe are both some of the best I’ve seen this entire year and really, the decade…possibly of all time. They deliver this brilliant script’s dialogue with such passion, humor and intensity. The story in this film is shrouded in mystery but the clues and tools needed to decipher it do exist and with a re-watch, finding them felt so rewarding.
(2007) Zodiac 9/10
This is one of my favorite Fincher movies and for anyone familiar with his stellar catalogue, that’s a bold claim. It feels so real and lived-in. The cast is absolutely stacked but so complimentary. It’s not the most violent film, it’s much more story driven but the moments of violence feel fucking powerful. The horror in this film isn’t about the serial killer, it’s really about obsession and Gyllenhaal absolutely nails his performance to bring that aspect home. Despite this film’s high praise by critics and regular assholes like myself, it is a slow-burn. It’s long and tedious and that aspect, which I love, could easily turn someone off.
(1981) Raiders of the Lost Ark 9/10
Raiders of the Lost Arc is such an important movie to me. It helped open my eyes to darker content as a child, for better or worse. It also introduced me to one of my favorite characters of all time, Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford doesn’t play a superhero in this movie, he’s very flawed and mortal. Yet, somehow he always seems to prevail, despite dire circumstances. Everything that could ever be said about this film has been said, I’m just here to show my appreciation.
(2014) Spring 8.5/10
This movie is wonderful, raw, natural and intriguing. It’s not over-acted or overthought in any way. It’s fucked up and complicated. This felt like an homage to Possession but the love story aspect really shines through. It feels helpless and hopeful at the same time. Benson’s script is amazing. The influences are impossible not to see but the dialogue is incredibly natural. The reactions are the same. I’ve always said that films shot in idyllic landscapes are a blank canvas for horror. There’s so much beautiful contrast.
(2007) Timecrimes 8.5/10
I loved this movie when I first saw it but upon rewatching it, I can’t help but stress its influence in the time-loop horror sub-genre. Sure films like Primer definitely helped pave the way but Timecrimes really manages to focus less on the science fiction and more on the horrifying consequences that come with time travel. I really enjoyed Karra Elajalde’s performance, his character’s physical and mental degradation throughout the film is really a high point to me. Almost all of these films on paper would seem predictable in concept but Timecrimes is just another one that manages to pull you in despite that. A part of me knew exactly how this was going to play out but a bigger part of me was too engrossed to be sure.
(2018) Gwen 8.5/10
This movie is an atmospheric slow burn down to the T so if that’s a sub-genre you generally don’t enjoy, this isn’t going to be something to change your mind. With that being said, it’s an incredibly heartbreaking story that, while exists in the folk-horror genre, subverts any and all expectations. The characters are real and suffering in this sort of beautiful but also incredibly bleak, barren landscape. Eleanor Worthington-Cox and Maxine Peaks carry the entire film. The story itself, while simple, yet powerful, is unwoven tediously, evoking all sorts of dread. I don’t think- scratch that, I know everyone is not going to like this movie. The plot is way too stripped down for mainstream appeal. If you find yourself empathizing with the characters and become personally involved in the period and setting, it can be an emotional watch.
(2005) Constantine 8.5/10
I was pretty surprised at the semi-mixed reaction to this film before I learned it was a comic book adaptation. Listen, I’ve obviously never even heard about this comic but let me just say, as a standalone movie, it’s fucking awesome. It’s basically Keanu Reeves battling his way through hell, murking demons and basically just being badass as shit. I love the entire cast, Rachel Weisz, Shia LaBeouf, etc. A true standout to me too was Tilda Swinton who plays the vague gendered Gabriel. The special effects, even 15 years later, are still fucking awesome. There’s a ton of CGI which isn’t always my favorite but it’s quality CGI that stands the test of time. I really loved this movie, I’d recommend it to anyone.
(2020) Relic 8/10
Robyn Nevin is fantastic here and all the supporting roles are great but not only does this woman make the movie, she is the movie. Her dialogue, her delivery and her body language, at least to me, are a huge chunk of the entire plot. I just found this movie to be gentle until it isn’t, which makes for the most tense moments. It’s a very claustrophobic film; I think it does justice to a very serious and frightening illness.
(1986) The Little Shop of Horrors 8/10
Okay to keep things real, I’ve never been a big musical dude but this movie is fun as hell. Rick Moranis is as goofy as ever and good god…the practical effects are mind-blowing. You’re watching this giant plant movie and it just melts your brain thinking about how it was accomplished. I had to look it up and after finding out it took sped-up footage, vocal matching with said footage and 60 men to operate this giant…puppet(?), I couldn’t be more impressed.
(2020) Palm Springs 8/10
It doesn’t take long to catch on that, while this is a romantic comedy, it’s also a sci-fi horror film and a specific subset of sci-fi that makes me anxious. So in some regards, at least to genre placement, there’s my bias. The movie is seriously a treat though. It’s a new spin on an old formula and it’s genuinely funny, suspenseful and endearing. Even if you disagree that it shouldn’t be discussed in the horror circles, you won’t regret watching it.
(1979) Nosferatu the Vampire 8/10
This film not only embodies and celebrates the original in terms of structure as well as substance, but in its restrained filmmaking methods; its ability to let shots live without intervention. It’s atmospheric, well-trimmed and just an all-around, exceptional film. Klaus Kinsi as Nosferatu is perfect; I loved the makeup design. His character is so out in the open that the shots have to be perfect in order to avoid the sillier pitfalls of films in the same vein attempting to achieve the same results. It still contains small doses of the eras beloved campiness, which I can appreciate to some degree, as it feels balanced within context. Dracula’s takeover of the town is anything but some violent, typical horror spectacle. Rather, Werner Herzog decides to portray it in a fever-dream-like fashion, elevated by the very minimal but well-used soundtrack.
(2009) The House of the Devil 8/10
Modern horror is no stranger to throwback aesthetics from earlier decades but in 2009, that wasn’t the case. Not only did this movie pioneer that but it did it so successfully. My absolute favorite aspect of this film is the retro feel. It captured 70’s horror so incredibly well. Ti West is a talented filmmaker and this is one of my favorites by him. It’s a slow burn but so sinister and despite many complaining that the payoff wasn’t worth the wait, I have to disagree. Also, the suspense during the build-up was my favorite part. The violence, especially early on, while limited, is so powerful and raw. It really set an uneasy tone for the rest of the runtime.
(1989) Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 8/10
You know, this movie was the least memorable of the trilogy to me and I think that holds up, to a degree. I like this movie a lot though, fuck it, I love this movie. It’s the least horror focused but still has at least one intense body-horror moment. I don’t think too many people talk about how brave this movie is though; it tackles one of the most divisive topics, religion and does so in such a thrilling fashion. Indy is still Indy here, he’s fucking badass; his character and dialogue excel in this entry immensely. Not just dialogue but this film contains some of the best action choreography of the entire series, something that almost seems unfairly diminished through repetition. This movie is fucking awesome.
(1984) Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 8/10
This is probably the most influential horror movie of my entire childhood. The first time I watched it I had to shut it off at the heart scene and I think it took a few more tries to even make it through the whole thing. Unlike Scream, watching this decades later didn’t really totally eliminate that. I think it’s a scary movie and a really dark turn in the trilogy. There are quirky aspects of it character wise that are kind of goofy but playful. Overall though, goddamn dude, these set pieces are amazing. I love this movie and I’m totally biased but there are so many iconic moments during it. Harrison Ford is also jacked to shit and just at an all-time fuck-shit-up mode. His greedy and gritty character compliments the plot incredibly well.
(1984) The Terminator 8/10
This movie, simply put, is badass as shit. Everything you could ever need to know about it is established in the very first scene. I’m aware the series kind of progresses into more action focused territory with the sequels but the original will always be a horror movie to me. The pacing, the unstoppable force that is Arnold, it’s all thrilling as shit. Sure, there’s a few instances of 80’s special effects that have aged like milk, mostly with the final scene but for the most part, the effects look dope still. Cameron hasn’t missed in his entire career in my opinion and this film is a benchmark in multi-genre spanning, epic, cinematic movies. I love it.
(2009) The Loved Ones 7.5/10
This is the film that got me into Sean Byrne and it’s really something special. It reminds of almost a modern day interpretation of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, if the dinner scene was the entire film. It’s a non-thinker, fun horror movie in a purest sense. Byrne seems aware of that and the story and pacing all cater to it so well. Robin McLeavy plays one of the most unlikable villains to date and that alone is a ticket for investment in this film. It would seem almost playful to a horror veteran but the sadistic and incestuous nature of her writing is something to behold. This is a popcorn movie but a great one at that.
(1973) The Crazies 7/10
There’s some silly and overly-eccentric characters, per Romero’s usual style but I actually enjoyed this one a lot. I’m not even speaking directly about the remake but this film inspired a lot of modern horror films and concepts. There’s this great scene with this old lady knitting that I just adore. The innocent and violent clash in such an effective way. Obviously the horror aspects in that scene, as well as the virus itself are very fictional. The government response though, seems almost plausible, considering how they’re currently handling Covid-19. The miscommunication within government agencies in this film is both satisfying and frustratingly accurate.
(2019) I Trapped the Devil 7/10
This one is a bit of a slow-burn but I felt the tension from beginning to end so none of it felt like a blind investment. It had the potential to be another, cookie-cutter, pretentious statement but what I found it to be was simply a well-crafted horror film. While this film doesn’t shoot for the moon, it executes a well-trimmed, concise story and I’d fully recommend it to anyone interested in satanic horror.
(1935) The Black Room 7/10
This is another Universal horror film starring Karloff, directed by Roy Neill. It presents itself with the usual, tight-knit flair you may have come to expect but it somehow has seen much less recognition than any of the major monster movies. I really liked this movie. Despite the predictable nature, I found the short run-time to be refreshing and the performances were great. It was also a really cleanly produced. I suspect that’s due to the lack of need for special effects but nevertheless, it’s a high point. Definitely check this one out. It feels warms and slightly gothic; overall, it’s just a very well-executed movie.
(2004) The Day After Tomorrow 6/10
This may be due to the unrealistic science fiction needed to drive these plots, but I can’t decide if Emmerich takes his own work seriously. These films are undoubtedly brilliant visual spectacles at times and pretty goddamn entertaining but also a breeding ground for vapid characters. However, his films also seem to have actual political and social commentary. In the case of this film, it’s the world’s most on-the-nose message about climate change. I’m not even sure how much of a criticism that is but take it for what you will. The intense scenes in this movie are legitimately intense and even watching this 16 years after it was released, the CGI is pretty great. New York city is a fun sandbox for disaster porn and I had a great time watching it.
(2014) The Possession of Michael King 6/10
I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The “Possession of” movies are a mixed bag and despite this one in particular being really low-budget, they did a great job at creating scary visuals. I loved the psychological torment, specifically this idea with flies that’s legitimately creepy as fuck. They take it to a level where I think right at the end it dips off into the ridiculous but not in a way that’s awful, just not to my personal tastes.
(2019) Sweetheart 6/10
Sweetheart is a fairly well-made survival horror film that starts out well but unfortunately fades into mediocrity. While the first half is actually more of a methodical portion of the film, it’s strangely the second act that feels like a chore to watch at times. There’s some talent to look out for here but it seems underdeveloped on this project. With that being said, it’s still really entertaining for the most part, just treat it more as a popcorn movie rather than something to really sink your teeth into.
(2013) Boar 6/10
Yeah I don’t even really know what to say. It’s a killer boar movie. It’s fun, the gore is pretty great and it’s well-paced. I don’t really feel inspired to write a novel about it but it’s worth a watch.
(2014) Digging up the Marrow 6/10
I’m not surprised to hear people complaining about this film because it’s by no means perfect. However, I am surprised to hear so many people targeting Adam Green’s ego as being the shining flaw in this movie. I have no bias towards the guy, I’m a casual fan but I do think that people mistook the meta-aspects of this story to be simply for self-service. With that being said, I like this movie. I don’t love it but the build-up was pretty intense, carried by an always somewhat unhinged Ray Wise. I’m glad they didn’t show a ton right away or really, at all, because it would have been even cheesier. This is a fun movie though that’s really not meant to be taken all that seriously. The creature design is cool and it’s just an easily digestible popcorn flick. I would have re-wrote the ending a bit to be less convoluted and abrupt (paradoxical almost, I know) but I can still recommend this one.
(2015) The Vatican Tapes 6/10
I didn’t have high hopes for this one, exorcism movies are just so oversaturated. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised. The horror of it all, the culmination or whatever, is exactly what you’d expect and if that seems like a spoiler, it’s more of a statement on the sub-genre itself. It’s the build-up and basically entire first half that impressed me. I truly felt like the events that conspire could happen to anyone. This was by no means a waste of time, despite how many times this story has been done.
(2014) The Last Showing 5.5/10
Robert Englund lends his talents to a b-movie of sorts here but the end product isn’t that bad. Outside of him, the acting isn’t bad either. Chris Geere from You’re the Worst is actually in it and he’s such a hilariously miserable cunt. It entertained me enough but in the end, felt really bland. I’m feeling pretty eh on this one.
(2017) Lost Child 5/10
Lost Child wasn’t quite what I was expecting, which in some ways, was the only thing I enjoyed about it. They keep the mystery going for a long time and to their credit, I was never exactly sure how things were going to play out. Unfortunately, it’s just really boring and there’s no huge payoff. I liked a few of the characters and as far as production and acting goes, it was just fine. It’s kind of one of those mid-movies that doesn’t do a whole lot wrong but also doesn’t do a whole lot right.
(2019) In the Tall Grass 4.5/10
People seem to be pretty divisive about this film to the point where not a lot of middle ground criticism is being offered but that’s where it lands to me. It often engaged me, I like a lot of the sci-fi aspects, felt there were a few good performances and I didn’t hate the conclusion. With that being said, not a single aspect of this movie wow’d me in any fashion. It feels like it actually could have been shortened a bit, as in like an episode of an anthology. I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either.

2020.09.18 10:42 ghem111 People hated weather anomaly for being RNG, what about the biggest RNG in the game, quickmatch?

The main HOTS PvP game mode, quickmatch, played by 70% of hots PvP players revolves around RNG and luck to a significant extent. Yet people defend this mode mercilessly while hating the weather anomaly for the same reason. Why? Seems very strange to me.
To my knowledge, even the most casual modes in other MOBAs like (like turbo mode in dota) are draft modes (drafting happens very fast tho). Seems very strange to me that hots, the one MOBA where you actually have many many maps and so have to pick characters to suit the map, is the only MOBA where you can't do it (in the main game mod called quickmatch at least). Other MOBAs have one map and all characters are balanced for that map and even the most hard-core casuals get to pick their heroes there.
Is it an impossible dream for hots to have the main game mode not be primarily luck-based?
Or will we see people defend quickmatch to the death (like the comments that are about to come in this thread)?

2020.09.18 10:40 RioJayanth Sudden CPU overheating issues in Predator Triton 300 PT 315-51 laptop

Hello, I have been using this laptop for over a month now and I have been playing various video games including some CPU intensive games.
At the beginning, my CPU, GPU and system temperatures used to reach to a maximum of 70, 60 and 70 degree Celsius respectively while gaming and max of 40°C while idle but recently my CPU temp is going upto a maximum of 93°C while playing certain games and 80°C while playing other games. It is 40° while unplugged & idle and 70°+ while plugged in & idle but all the other temperatures remain normal.
It started after I began using the Turbo Mode button which basically overclocks the CPU and GPU while it is on, also I installed various new softwares to my laptop which include JDK, Flutter sdk, Android Studio and MSI afterburner.
My specifications: i5 9300h, nvidea 1650 4GB, 16 GB RAM, 1TB HDD and 250 GB SSD, Windows 10 home.(RAM was 8GB at first, I upgraded it to 16 GB by adding an extra 8 GB Hyperx RAM)
I uninstalled all the softwares except flutter sdk but still the temperatures are abnormal for a new laptop. I also tried cleaning the dust from fans, I even tried under volting the CPU using intel XTU but nothing worked.
After some research in google and youtube, I found that thermal paste maybe an issue so I have placed an order for Arctic MX4 2019 edition for the replacement. Will replacing the thermal paste work?
I also noticed that as I plug in the charger my CPU goes from 1.4 ish MHz to 3.5-3.9 MHz. Is it normal.
I am new to computer engineering and I am afraid these temps might affect my CPU. I want to know what might be the problem and will replacing thermal paste work? Or if there is anything else I can do, please share with me.
PS: I use acer's builtin predator sense application to check my Temps, but MSI afterburner too gave same results while gaming
Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou in advance

2020.09.18 10:29 SazNoop Smok Novo X Review

Smok Novo X Review
Hi everyone. I’m back today with another review - this time the Novo X pod device from Smok. This is the third device in the Novo line. It is the first one with a screen, however it does continue the style of its predecessors in it’s simplicity.
DISCLAIMER: This device was sent to me by Smok for the purpose of this review. As usual, this won’t affect my opinion.
The Novo X is available in eight different colours: five with a cobra pattern (silver, black, blue, white and 7-colour); two with a stabwood design (black and red); and the 7-colour resin. I received the 7-colour resin version.

Packaging and contents

A white box sleeve with a picture of the device on the front slides back to reveal an open white box with the device, two 0.8 Ohm dual coil pods and a micro USB cable held in a dense foam material. Apart from some of the usual paperwork that’s all you’ll get, so not exactly flush with extras, but it’s got what you need.
Contents
The disappointing thing about the contents is the fact that you get two of the same pod. I have seen meshed pods available for this device, but it seems for some reason that it’s not provided. It’s a bit of a shame as there were 8 different pods available for the Novo 2 so I’m hoping that some more varieties are planned for the future.

First impressions

The 7-colour resin finish is… erm… interesting. It’s not exactly my cup of tea if I’m being honest. It’s a little loud. Just to clear things up, it’s not actual resin but a sticker of some sort, and it’s not even a particularly good print on the sticker. If you look at it closely it’s blurry and pixelated.
Y'all got any more of them pixels?
In the hand it feels solid enough, the pods are held in firmly and have that wide tip which is comfortable. It’s quite an ergonomic device - smooth all round with no sharp edges to it, and small enough to easily slip into a pocket. It very much looks like the Novo devices before it, which isn’t a bad thing, except this one has the screen and button on the front. The button is small although easy enough to press just by smooshing your finger over it. The screen is small and clear. All the information you really need is there and easy to read - wattage, resistance, applied voltage, battery bar and thankfully, battery percentage. The body does feel a little slippery, possibly due to some kind of anti-scratch coating? I’m not sure.

Operation

There isn’t much to go over in terms of operation, there’s only a single button to worry about. It’s the standard five clicks on/off. Press it two or three times and you enter wattage adjustment mode where a single press will increase in 0.5 Watt increments, or hold it down to scroll up quickly. It round-robins from 25 back to 1, and for some reason stops at 20W.
Screen on
Charging is done via the micro-USB port on the bottom of the device. Unfortunately only at a max rate of 0.68A, which in this day and age is painfully slow; about an hour and 10 minutes from empty to full. To put that into perspective, a 2,000mAh battery charged at 2A would take an hour. On the plus side, battery life is decent, you’ll get somewhere in the region of 150-200 puffs from a full charge at 20W.
Filling the pod is done by a rubber flap on the side, which is fairly standard by this point. Although the hole is a little small it works fine with most thin-tipped bottles. A little clear band where the pod meets the body means that you can just about see your juice level by holding the device sideways.
Pod
One niggle I had with the pods was finding out what the recommended wattage range is. It doesn’t say anywhere on the pod, in the literature provided or on the box. I had to go to the Smok website where it was listed right down at the bottom of the page for the Novo X. It’s 12-25W by the way.

Vaping

This is a draw-activated only device, and Smok are calling it ‘top level MTL vaping’. Ehhh… I’m not sure I’d agree really.
Let’s start with the MTL label. The airflow goes past the upper border of MTL for me. Whilst MTL is technically possible, it’s slightly uncomfortable. It’s far too loose and the airflow sensor seems to cut out quite often, resulting in a stuttery draw. It’s much better suited to a restricted DL hit than MTL. Blocking off one of the air intakes on the side, where the pod meets the body, does help with both the draw and the air sensor but it’s a bit of a faff.
Secondly, ‘top level’. Again, ehhh. I tried a couple of different flavour profiles and a couple of different VG/PG ratios (the manual says 70/30 is preferred) and the flavour was always a bit muted. It’s slightly better at the top of the wattage range and again, slightly better with one of the airflow intakes blocked off.

Pros

  • Form factor is good
  • Screen is clear
  • Simple operation
  • Battery life is decent

Cons

  • Lack of flavour
  • Draw is too loose for MTL
  • No wattage range provided for pod
  • Only 1 pod variant provided
  • Slow charging

Final thoughts

The £20-ish pod market is pretty saturated right now, with plenty of good options available. Unfortunately, this means that it’s difficult to recommend the Novo X. Maybe things will change in future with the release of more pods, but there isn’t anything that this device currently does that others don’t. Lack of flavour is a big con for me, as is the fact that you can’t get a good MTL draw. The screen and variable wattage is a good addition, but on the flip side, variable wattage just adds confusion when you don’t tell people what the recommended range is. I’ve not seen any leaks or condensation under the pod, which is good, but it’s not really enough to push this to a recommendation.
Smok Novo X
Thanks to Smok for sending this to me for review. The Novo X is available in the range of £20-25, with a three-pack of pods setting you back about £8.

2020.09.18 08:02 Bachmanetti PVE Breakdown of every Damage Resistance Mod, Exotic, and Ability

Post in progress..... Workshopping before being posted to RaidSecrets/Destiny 2 subreddit.

ReceivedDamage = (1-Resist_1) * (1-Resist_2) * (1-Resist_3) * (.......)

I may post more charts, and relevant clips both in the comments below, and on twitter.

2020.09.18 07:55 VeniVidiShatMyPants Really? COD Warzone

Game keeps crashing AFTER I have purchased the battlepass. It was working flawlessly before I spent 70 bucks on this bullshit; when I was playing free mode. This is absolutely absurd. Customer service redirects me to my own asshole, presumably to fuck myself the way Blizz always wants me to these days. Fucking hell. I literally knew coming back to play one of your games was a bad idea, and here you are proving me right. Good riddance. I want a refund.

2020.09.18 07:26 anononymous_idiot Long story

I want to start off this story by saying that I’m going to keep my anonymity by changing the names, and specific locations, of what happened on the days of September 13-15th of 2008. To this day, I’ve never shared the full details to avoid being labeled as crazy, but I remember every, SINGLE, detail.
I had just graduated college, and had accepted a position at an engineering firm in June of 2007. I had a hard time finding a job at that time, so I finally took a job in the Midwest in a town I knew nothing about. Everything went pretty well that first year. I was pretty lonely, because it was really my first time ever being away from home. But I loved my job.
Fast forward to summer of 2008. A coworker and I are sent off to inspect a road construction job 200 miles from my new home, and have to live in a hotel all summer. This hotel is in a very small town with probably ~500 people living in it. The only bar in town is right across the street, so that’s where we spent most of our free time.
September rolls around, and all we have left on the job is striping, and a few other small things. The general contractor, we will call him Dan, had pretty much wrapped up his portion of the work, as he’d hired subcontractors to do signing, striping, etc. He tells us that the stripers will be in on Monday, since they don’t work weekends. My coworker and I were excited to hear this because we had been working Monday-Saturday practically all summer. My coworker said he was going home for the weekend to see his GF, but since I was single, I just decided to stay since I really did not want to drive three hours both ways.
At this point in the project I had become pretty friendly with some of the locals. There was a girl my age there who I was casually dating. And most of the older regulars at the bar had started to get to like me, too. I was drinking pretty heavily in those days, so I of course went to the bar on this Friday night. The girl I was seeing could not come, since she had to go see family that weekend. And as was usually the case, I drank WAY too much.
I woke up Saturday to a loud knock on my door. I look at the clock, 6:33 AM. I’m thinking, “what in the hell?”. I get up to answer, and the lady says, “The stripers out on Highway 10 have been calling us ALL morning wondering where you’ve been.” I was SO confused, but was too hungover or tired to think logically. Looking back, how would they know where I’m staying? But I was just kinda in panic rush mode at that point. Of course I didn’t charge my phone or laptop Friday, so those were both dead. I finally get outside and realize my truck is still across the street at the bar. I run over, grab it, and start heading towards the job site. The site is like 45 min from my hotel, but 30 mins into the drive, I realize I forgot the hard copy of my plans in my room, so I had to turn around and drive back. I remember feeling kinda scared that I was late, but I was also pissed, because I was told I had the weekend off.
By the time I get to the job site around 9 AM, I see an older man and a kid about my age there waiting. At this point I’m absolutely exhausted as I didn’t even get the chance to grab a coffee or something. I go and greet them, and something seems, well let’s just say, a little off. The two men looked completely filthy, even for someone working in construction. But they hadn’t done anything yet, so how could that be? They also both had scars all over their bodies, mostly burn scars. The older gentleman than said to me “Man, Dave’s gonna be pissed at you when he finds out how late you were”. In my head I was so confused:
  1. I have no idea who Dave is, I’m assuming he means Dan.
  2. Buddy, I wasn’t even supposed to work today.
He then said, “is that SOB ever going to pay us? He never payed us last time so he’s lucky we are outta work otherwise we wouldn’t be here”. I didn’t really know how to respond to that, I almost half thought he was giving me shit, so I naturally did a quick fake laugh to break the silence. He didn’t laugh, and neither did the other guy. They just stared at me. I then responded with, “well, I’m not really sure because that’s not my job to make sure you get paid”. He looked at me dead in the eyes, and said, “Fine. My names Clyde and this is my boy here, Jim. Next time you see Dave, tell him he owes me, and his wife’s good in bed.” I involuntarily, awkwardly, half nodded and went to paint out where they need to stripe.
After painting out lines for them for about 2 hours, I got in my truck and let them get to work. I was so tired at this point I just turned on the radio and leaned my seat back. I knew at the time that this whole situation was odd, but brushed it off, mainly due to the fact of being completely hungover.
Once they start working around 11 or 12, I start to notice more and more how fucked up this is. The truck they drove could not have been newer than the 70’s, and the equipment they were using was way out dated. I started to get really hungry around 1, and told Clyde I was gonna run to a nearby gas station to get some food. He laughed and said, “There ain’t a food joint within 35 miles of here, why didn’t you just pack your own lunch?”. At this point I’m borderline furious with the dude. I kept my composure, and told him he could call me if he needed anything (forgetting my phone was dead). He looked confused, laughed, and said, “Call you? Well I don’t have a phone out here so how could I call you?”
Now I wasn’t extremely shocked at this point that these people didn’t have phones. Normally I’d be somewhat surprised, but it was 2008 and not everyone had phones yet. Also, these guys looked like they just got done working 15 hours cleaning up sewage. I angrily responded, “Fine, I’ll wait”.
I started to get extremely bored so I got out and started watching them up close. To be fair, they were doing a good job, but moving at a horrifically slow pace. I finally broke my silence around 5 PM. I told Clyde, “look, I wasn’t even told I was supposed to work today. I was told you guys don’t work weekends, so I was just hoping maybe we could call it quits and startup again on Monday? I mean Dan doesn’t even know you’re here right now so he will probably be pleased that you at least have a head start”. Clyde glanced back confusingly, “Dan? Who the hell is Dan?”.
At this point I’m thinking I should just start calling Dan “Dave” to avoid further conversation with this man. Clyde thinks about it for awhile, and says “Yeah, okay. Dave told me to work late, but fuck him anyway.” I breathed a sigh of relief and laughed it off. He interrupted my laugh by saying “yeah, fuck him and I’ll fuck his wife!” He then let out the most TERRIFYING laugh I’ve ever heard, and his son joined him in laughter. At this point I’m pretty freaked and kinda fake laugh with them. But I can’t describe to you how terrifying their laughs sat with me at that moment.
I finally get into my truck, and start writing my notes down from the day, when I was interrupted by Jim at my window. I was shocked because he didn’t say a word all day. I could no longer see Clyde anymore, and their equipment and truck were mysteriously gone. I said “what’s up?” And all he said was, “Dave will never be forgiven for what he did to us. My dad and me will be in heaven watching him burn in hell”. His face then got really pale, and he tilted his head, and gave me a TERRIFYING smirk that I’ll never forget. At this point, I’m absolutely terrified. I roll up my window, without a response, and GTFO of there.
I don’t remember much after that. I woke up absolutely sweating and looked at the clock, 6:33. At first, I thought I was living in the Groundhog Day movie. Than, I thought, “damn, that was by far the most realistic nightmare I’ve ever had”. I got up and realized it wasn’t a dream. My clothes were all laid out from the day, boots covered in white paint, and my laptop was exactly where it was when I took it out to check battery that morning. The rest of my clothes were a mess around my suitcase from being in such a hurry. Finally, I checked outside to find my truck not at the bar, but at the hotel. I guess it was Sunday morning. Or so I thought.
I went down to the lobby to get some breakfast, but nobody was eating breakfast. In fact they weren’t even serving it. I looked outside and the sun was setting, not rising. I checked my phone, which was somehow now charged, and it was 7 PM, not AM. At this point I decide that I was just in such exhaustion, that maybe I blew everything a bit out of proportion today. So I went to the bar to get some food and some drinks.
Once at the bar, I didn’t socialize much. Mostly just ate basically the entire menu and starting getting a buzz going with the drinks. Later in the night, I got drunk enough to ask if anyone knew a striper company with a father and son named Clyde and Jim. The normally lively group all a sudden looked at me like they’d see a ghost. After an extremely long silence, one guy asked, “why?” I said, “well, they did striping today for the job I’m working at, and it was a pretty strange day”. The group now even look MORE confused. Someone finally broke the silence and said, “that’s not funny, kid”. I was confused as hell, and even MORE confused because the bartender cut me off after that. I went home and got some much needed, sleep.
Sunday morning was pretty normal that day, I just sat in bed watching football. I decided around 4 PM to enter my handwritten notes from Saturday into my online work journal. I went to my truck to grab my notebook I wrote them in, and the notebook was gone. Confused, but not even surprised at that point. I knew something was going on, but was too scared to know what. Finally, curiosity got the best of me, so I texted my girlfriend who I’d been seeing that night, and asked her about a Clyde and Jim. She said she wasn’t sure, and told me to ask the guys at the bar, because they know pretty much everyone within 100 miles. I rolled my eyes and just said “okay”.
Nothing freaked me out more than what happened Monday morning. I showed up Monday morning, and Clyde and Jim are nowhere to be found. There was a different crew there, one that actually looked like they belonged in this decade. My coworker was going to be a little late due to the fact that he chose to drive back Monday morning. I show up, and what I saw next left me speechless. Nothing had been striped. Nothing had been painted out. It looked exactly before it did before the 8-9 of work that happened Saturday. Dan was right, the stripers WEREN’T coming until Monday. Who, or WHAT, I saw on Saturday, I don’t know. At least I didn’t, until that night.
The entire day I was in absolute terror and shock. I painted out the stripes, not even needing the plans, because I had JUST done it two days prior. I got in my truck after I finished and my coworker finally shows up. I was too scared to tell him what had happened, so I just said “I’m driving back to the hotel, I don’t feel very good”. He was fine with it and I left. I arrive around 1 PM and go straight to the bar. I walk in, and there’s only a few people there at this hour, but they all get quiet when they see me. I’m trembling at this point, but I muster up the energy to ask “Who is Clyde and his son Jim?” They all again look confused, except the bartender (who we will call Jesse). His eyes start to swell up and he just goes outside for a smoke. One of the regulars, we will call Bob, who had sort of become a friend at this point, pulled me aside and said “how the hell do you know them?” I told him, “they striped for my job on Saturday”. He looked me dead in the eye and said “boy, I’m serious. This isn’t fucking funny and definitely not something to joke about here”. At this point I’m visibly shaking in fear, nearly crying. I have no energy for words, but I can tell bob understands I’m not bullshitting him. He EVEN started to look terrified.
After awhile he shook his head and said the following. “Jesus Christ... okay. Clyde owned a striping business in town called “Clyde and Sons Striping”. Those three worked hard, but barely made ends meet. Jim was about 7 years younger than us, and didn’t really have much for friends. He was awkward and pretty shy. Although, the entire gang used to visit this bar pretty frequently. Clyde’s wife left him after Ben was born, for a man named Dave. Dave was the rich-boy of the town who got handed pretty much everything. He took over his daddy’s construction business in ‘62. Dave routinely would hire Clyde for work, and refuse to pay him out of spite. Spite for knowing, that his wife only left Clyde for his money, not because she actually loved him. Clyde hated Dave. Had plans to even kill him, but he had two boys to take care of. Instead, Clyde started sleeping with his ex-wife while she was married to Dave. When Dave found out, he was irate. He hired Clyde just to get him on his job site. Clyde hesitated due to his past experiences with Dave, but he was about to be run out of business if he didn’t take a job. Dave was surprisingly, very generous. He even payed back all the times he fucked him over for upfront, and then some. And then, all our lives changed. I remember it like it was yesterday. Jesse was supposed to be there with his brother and dad that day, but me, him, and a bunch of buddies went out drinking Friday night and he was too hungover to show up. Dave came to this bar around 9 AM that Saturday, started getting all liquored up and bitching about how much he hated Clyde. Now, everyone in town hated Dave. So everyone kinda tuned him out and had NO idea what he was about to do. He got in his truck around 12 pm, drove to his job on Highway 10, and noticed Clyde and Jim were sitting in the truck eating lunch. He drove into their stationary truck going around 70 mph. Clyde and Jim must’ve survived because the doctors determined they breathed in smoke. They determined they were trapped in and breathed in smoke for around 10 minutes, and burned to death slowly. They never found Dave’s body. The bartender that day was a good friend of Clyde’s. When he found out the news, he drove to the site of the crash that night and shot himself. It was the worst day of all of our lives.”
At this point I’m speechless, and shaking uncontrollably. Bob was tearing up pretty bad by now. Jesse was still outside, I can only guess he was crying too. I gave Bob a hug and went to my hotel and cried. I didn’t even ask Bob what year this happened, but that “kid” couldn’t have been older than me that I “saw” that day. And I remember celebrating Bob’s 65th birthday that summer at the bar. That would mean Jim would’ve been ~58 in ‘08, dating the crash back to the mid 1970’s.
After that job was done, I drove back to my hometown. I didn’t even tell my boss, or anybody. I got fired obviously, but I didn’t care. I landed a job in my hometown that I’m still working for to this day. I’ve never really been “haunted” by this experience, but every mid-September, I always remember the horrifying laugh, and smirk that I witnessed that day.

Dragon Center modes benchmarked
I was hitting dead ends finding what benefit dragon center added to my MSI laptop I decided to benchmark it myself. I ran Unigene Heaven 4.0 at: 1600x900 Extreme Preset 8x AA. I ran extreme performance, balanced, User Low, medium, and high twice with gaming mode on and gaming mode off then ran everything again twice with gaming mode off. For the user fan curves I ran 0%-40%-50%-70%-90%-150%
two caveats: user-low gaming mode on #2 was an outlier so I repeated a third time. And user low gaming off prevented the software from using the dedicated gpu so those results arent included.
Dragon Center Benchmarks
From what I can tell the results show high performance modes are hotter but actual performance difference is nearly identical. Hwmonitor showed higher voltage pushed in at extreme perf. and high mode, but it didnt correlate to high clocks speed. My user profile maybe a little cooler than default explaining very slightly lower user scenario temps.
My only conclusion is to not use dragon center for performance boosts.

Edits I should add *Temp is final temp at the end of the benchmark (scene #26 I think) *Benchmarks run with the back feet of the laptop elevated on a 16"x1"x1" strip of wood, temp hotter otherwise *This is an MSI Bravo running a Ryzen 4800H. Unigene heaven only runs for like 5-10min the cpu can maintain the full 4250+mhz without throttling.

2020.09.18 06:08 The747IsDead Ubuntu 20.04 Randomly Freezes for no reason at all

So it appears to be a recurring theme on my computer now. A couple of months back everything was normal, all the temps and ram usage. But recently I started getting more and more system freezes that I have no idea what caused it. I need to fix this asap because it's interrupting my online class significantly and is being a giant roadblock to my plans. It crashed/froze 3 times today, and I got the logs from the command: journalctl -b x -e.
Here are the logs:

2020.09.18 05:28 rako17 A List of AOE Scenarios about the 1st-2nd Centuries AD

I have been playing Rise of Rome a lot lately because it is one of a few games with Scenarios focusing on events of the 1st to 2nd Centuries AD. Playing those Scenarios helped me familiarize myself with the the time period when Christianity began. Below I am listing all the Scenarios that I know of for this time period or slightly before it. I marked an X next to the names showing that I beat them unless they were glitched. For Scenarios part of a Campaign, I am indenting their titles. They are in three categories: Maps (including those for the Levant), Single Player Scenarios, and Multiplayer Scenarios. My main question for the thread is whether you know of other Scenarios touching directly on this period.
MAPS X Land of Canaan (Map) / Land of Canaan Map with Indigenous Powers (1050-700 BC)(Beat it on Moderate) X [REAL] Maps / "8 real world maps" _____X #1 The Middle East - Persia - 8 player - I beat it on Easy. _____X #1 The Middle East Region 800 BC - I beat it handily on Easy. _____X #2 Eastern Meditteranean - 8 player - I beat it on Easy. _____X #2 Eastern Meditteranean 500 BC - I beat it on Moderate. _____X #3 Meditteranean Sea 200 BC - When I try to Load this scenario for Play or in my Scenario Editor, my game crashes. _____X #6 The Levant 1200 BC - I beat it on Moderate. _____X #8 India 150 AD - I beat it handily on HARD, as Player 1 begins loaded with thousands of resources. _____X Middle East (North) Map / Middle East (North) Map with Roman-Parthian Wars (Late 1st cent. BC - 7th c. AD) (Beat it on Moderate)
SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGNS AND SCENARIOS X Ages of Man (I picked scenarios that I found relevant because the campaign is very long.) _____X (I) Lord of the Animals (600,000 BC, Africa)(I beat it on Easy) _____X (IV) Religion (2,000 BC, Egypt) (I beat it on Moderate) _____X (V) Monotheism (1310 BC, Canaan) (I beat it on Easy) _____X (V) Bronze Age Collapse (1200 BC, Mediterranean)(I beat it on Moderate) _____X (VI) Machines (500 BC, Levant)(I beat it on Easiest) _____X (VII) Alexander the Great (320 BC, Macedonia)(I beat the scenario's "Ages of Man Part 3" version on Easiest.) _____X (VII) Hannibal's March (218-218 BC, Spain, Alps, Northern Italy)(On MODERATE, I beat the later version of this Scenario in the "Ages of Man Part 3" Campaign.) _____X (VII) Science and Technology (214 BC, Sicily)(I beat it on Easy) _____X (VII) Rise of the Germans (9 AD, Germania)(I beat it on Moderate) _____X (VII) Ctesiphon (On Hard mode I got 5/6 artifacts. The 6th one is in the southern Blue base, and to get it you have to declare war on Blue, which creates an automatic glitch.) _____X (VII) Ascent of Rome (40,000 BCE - 1 CE)(I beat it on Easiest in 2019. The 2020 version titled "Rome the Spectacle of Antiquity" looks the same.)
X Parthian Commander (66 BC – 217 AD)(I beat it on Easiest) _____X Raid in the West X Drusus and Tiberius/"Drusus and Tiberius, Version 2" (c. 15 BC. On MODERATE in ROR I beat it, but it's meant for AOE1. I fixed the AOE 1.0 Version by splitting it into 2 Chapters and released it as "Version 2" with the original Designer's understanding.) _____X Chapter 1: Drusus Duels the Vendelici Leader (I beat it on Moderate) _____X Chapter 2: Tiberius Battles the Raeti (Beat it on Easiest as part of playtesting) X Around The Mountain (You play as Rome and must free Tiberius. I beat it on EASIEST.) X Tiberius Teuton-Campaign (12-7 BC)(I beat it on Easy.) X Arminius, Hammer of the Romans (9 AD) _____X Rome Is Not Your Friend (I beat it on Moderate.) _____X Clipping the Eagle's Wings (Beat it on Moderate.) _____X At the Well of Wyrd (Beat it on moderate) _____X Wrath of the Tribes (I beat it on moderate) X The Stadium of Tiberius (14 AD to 37 AD)(Beat it on moderate.) X Fighting for Rome _____X Beginning of the Roman Empire (Beat it on Moderate.) _____X The Second Punic War (218 to 201 BC)(I beat it on Moderate.) _____X The Jewish Revolt (66-73 AD, I beat it on Easiest.) X Siege V Masada (67 AD - 73 CE)(Completed on single player, probably on moderate.) X Aid the Batavians (69 AD) X The advance of Antonius / Primus (October 69 AD) (I beat it on Easiest.) X the seige of jerusalem (by yontanyontan, 70 AD) (I beat it on Easy) X The Siege of Masada, 70 AD / "TheSiege of Masadaby10thLegion" (I beat it on Hardest.) X Annex of the Two Rivers (115 AD, Parthia)(I beat it on MODERATE.) X Roman Expansion into Britannia / "Roman Expansion into Britannia, Version 2" (I fixed the glitches and submitted the fixed Campaign as "Version 2") _____X Invasion of Britania(AD 43)(In AOE 1.0 on MODERATE, I completed the Objectives in gameplay, then fixed the mission and submitted the fixed Campaign as Version 2.) _____X Supression (c. 60 AD) (Beat it on Moderate) _____X Building Hadrian's Wall (120 AD)(On Moderate, I met all the Objectives and then fixed the glitch that prevented a Victory screen.) X The Eagle /"The Eagle, Version 2" (Scotland, 140 AD, based on the movie I saw.)(On MODERATE, I brought the chest to the red gate, but red soldiers block the gate so that I couldn't get it through. 2020.09.18 04:03 _Fwen_ Terrible GPU Usage and Low FPS

So I’ve been having this weird and really annoying issue with my pc the last little while. I prefer to play the game in Remastered as my pc is quite capable of running that mode with high fps. When I first load up the game everything is all good gpu is maxed and I’m sitting at usually between 130-160fps, 70-90 in towns. After some time of playing my gpu utilization literally tanks, goes to around 40-60% usage and my FPS sits at like 60-80 which is still good but I mean if I can get high 100’s I’d like to fix that lol. What weirds me out the most though is playing on Ultra I experience none of these issues, the only thing I can think of is because I’m playing in 1080p. Has anyone else experienced this or is experiencing this?
My pc specs are: i7-10700K, Z490 Aorus Master, G. Skill Trident Z 3200mhz 16gb and an MSI RTX 2080 Super Gaming X Trio

2020.09.18 02:37 DiligentLie0 Need help with fairies

I got issues with the last chapters and event. Right now iplayed gfl for around 14 months just for story and wapons brand names....and also like to see them as anime girls killing robotic dominas around. My issue right now is i got around 70 to 80 (5x)tdolls at lvl 90 or 100 collected where i like the wapon theme and even paid for echelon spots. I like this game but played mostly for collecting wapon brands i liked, ownend or did my service...still waiting for a sturmgewehr 90(sig550). Why 556.....WHY release the cheaply usa kissing tourist version of the sig550... sry got lost.

Im a very efficient afk farming monster...zas probably hates me, m4 and grape dont talk much toghether on missions because after 1400 runs for cores you run out of words, and i can understand why m16 went awal after i abused 4-2. Exept for the few echelons slots i never pay3d a dime more for the game.

Like said im hitting a wall here i got most hightier tdolls on those tierlists even 5x linked etc. I know to not just trow them in squads and ignore synergy but while i played and got stuck i just pushed trough with 100 repair tickets. But lately im at a level where i shouldnt struggle that hard in endgame but still have extreme issues with my echelons. I dont realy restrict myself in compositions of squads exept the ars (mainly story squad stick toghether anti rain defy 404 etc. And a hk squad with g series). So now im at a point where im restricting myself of falling in to collector mindtrap of getting unusefull 4dolls just because i like them and relocate resources to where i realy didnt invest much. Example....got 4 arsmg, 2rfhg, 2 night squads, 1 mg, and 1grenadier squads. Of those 50 dolls 10 of them are not 5 star gold status and even those have 5 mods inside. 50 % of them equiment is gold 10 full calibrated even the speqs the rest is gold but not fully leveled....and i still have 5stars 5xlinked in the reserve....mainly tdolls for special cases or for other uses.
The last event i really tried to get in to the first 30% of the en player base in the at4 event but only made it in to 43% in points and even wasnt capable to do the last 2 ex missions.....that was a real bummer for me especialy considering that i actually own most s tier dolls at 5 link moded and used synergy and guides and still failed. For the dolls i own i should atleast made it to 40% minimaly.... So now i explainend my situation... where i lack mostly are fairies and hocs skill lvl. That much i know because when i followed the guides the only point where i didnt match up mostly was in the fairies.

I made a few rolls now the but the guides im looking in are so how should i say not decisve enough in numbers. Its more like ...ah that fairy is good and that fairy is also good bla bla bla. But i realy need to focus resources on atleast the fairies im gonna builf up. Now is 2 taunt fairies, 2 parachute, 2 illumination fairies and the rest mortar fairie sufficiont enough roster to be good at the next big event or should iget 1 or 2 of the others for special ocasion if yes wich ones? . ( sidenote i didnt got them but will aim for them bigtime till next big event rste up etc.
